Getting Your License
If your establishment meets all of the qualifications listed above, the next step is to apply for your video gaming license with the Illinois Gaming Board. The requirements for an establishment to meet the qualifications for the Truck Stop license classification are as follows:

Must currently be at least a 3-acre facility with a convenience store

Must sell at retail more than 10,000 gallons of diesel or biodiesel fuel per month

Must have separate diesel islands for fueling commercial motor vehicles

Must have parking spaces for commercial motor vehicles
In order to qualify for a Fraternal or Veterans Organization license, the establishment must meet the following requirements:

Must possess valid on-premises liquor pouring licenses issued by both their local municipality and the state of Illinois

Must be able to provide a letter from the IRS showing that they are exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c) (8) or 501(c) (10) for fraternal establishments or section 501(c) (19) for veterans organizations
Here are the two requirements retail establishments must meet to be eligible to apply to add video gaming to their businesses:

Must currently be located within 3 road miles from a freeway interchange, as measured in accordance with the Department of Transportation’s rules regarding the criteria for the installation of business signs

Must currently be at least a 3-acre facility with a convenience store

Must have separate diesel islands for fueling commercial motor vehicles

Must sell at retail more than 50,000 gallons of diesel or biodiesel fuel per month

Must have parking spaces for commercial motor vehicles
